It's helpful to remember that women in the workplace have always had particular challenges, including pay equity, the glass ceiling, and balancing career and childcare.  This pandemic has amplified those existing challenges, and AFSCME is pressing management to both recognize the scale of the problem and solve it.  This pandemic is no one's fault, and women should not feel compelled to exit the workforce because of it.
